OHP grower customer wins environmental award

Riverview Flower Farm of Riverview, FL,was formally recognized for its many environmentally-friendly innovations this past October. The perennial grower was awarded the Ag-Environmental Leadership Award at the Florida Farm Bureau Federation’s annual meeting in Daytona Beach.

The award spotlights the environmentally-innovative practices of Florida’s growers and ranchers. A visit to Riverview reveals why they won the honor – they demonstrate environmentally-compatible practices on many levels such as their efficient watering system and use of biological materials as a part of their pest control program.

Owned by Dave and Rick Brown, Riverview is comprised of 127 acres of growing space in 3 locations in the Tampa area.
